The project Landmarken Mobiler Unterhaltung/Landmarks of Mobile
Entertainment (2010 - 2013) has been funded by the BMBF/Aif. We aim to creating a dynamic system of landmarks for pedestrian navigation as a side effect of mobile game play activities.
In this project we develop, initiate and anchor Mobile Games, which create and use landmarks for pedestrian navigation as a side effect of play activities. Examples today are foursquare and Gowalla. The first Mobile Game of this kind has been developed by our partners from the University Bamberg, Prof. Dr. Christof Schlieder, Sebastian Matyas und Peter Kiefer. We conducted an exploratory study on Mobile Human Computation Games 2008 to 2009.
